Day 166

bursting bubbles

Behind the scenes:

i had a fun time

dabbling with portraits with my sis's friend

my first official guinea pig

in me dabbing into beauty and conceptual shot

it was a clumsy and a little awkward experience for me

as it takes a while to capture the expressions 

i want the photos to convey

 but i had a bucket-load of fun

Day 165:

ATTACCKK!!!!!

Behind the scenes:

it's the start of the holidays

so i decided to do it with a bang

set out a levitation date with uthi

and with the help of kenneth

(and the moral support of kana)

i managed to do three levitation concepts

this is the first:

attack of the camera

i always wondered what the camera would feel if it were alive

i should have  gotten a bigger lens

i just can't resist posting some behind of the scenes shots

these two's expressions were priceless!

"DON'T DROP THE CAMERA!"

disclaimer:

the cameras are already spoilt beyond repair

after that

me, kana and kenneth went over to Swensen's for brunch

(well, lunch technically as were 40 minutes from the breakfast menu)

Kana had:

i spent the entire day from 2pm to 10pm with Kana

for meetings

today is also the day my dad

we dropped him off at the airport in the morning

Day 162:

Behind the scenes:

today is the eve of Mother's day

and it's also a the day we celebrate my grandma's birthday

and have a get-together family dinner

this year is special in a sense that there are new family members around

it was literally

baby boom

and i get to see my niece after a few months

went out with Hwee Woon and Kana 

for cafe-hopping at Tanjong Pagar!!

first stop:

Two Blur Guys

a neat burger joint

we shared two burgers

1) Smoked Salmon Avocado Burger

the milky taste of avocado just goes well with the smoked salmon

2) Portobello Mushroom Burger

i was surprised that i actually enjoyed it

it tasted like omelet especially with the margarine on the bread 

their store is pretty homey with brick walls

and their desserts placed on wooden blocks

making the feel of the food rather organic

some sample dessert shots

Chocolate Brownies 

Lamintons 

Second pit stop:

Cake Spade

we had their signature toufu cheesecake

and their super delicious

double chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream

super cute cake shop!

the last stop was

Department of Caffeine

both Kana and i had Elderflower Lemonade 

while Hwee Woon had

some coffee (i'm personally not a fan of coffee) and Lavender Tea Cake

it was an awesome break

and cafe-hopping experience!

it's holiday time

time to earn some cash

so back to Underwater World Singapore

for camps

they have a new exhibit!

Day 159:

cupcake outing

Behind the scenes:

today's the day Kana finished her exams

and she has never tried Plain Vanilla Bakery, Singapore

we bought a dozen each

and went to Singapore Botanic Gardens 

for a long-awaited photo-shoot

I have always wanted to take photo of her awesome backpack

we walked the entire Botanical Gardens 

eating the cupcakes and shooting at the same time

we then had a pit-stop at Starbucks

for the air-con
