i felt blessed that the sunrise 

had the distinctive orange rays

as i'm usually disappointed by the clouds covering the horizon

Day 88:

had a filming session

with Uthi, Zhixing, Kana, Jasmine and Shi Ying today

would love to also thank

Kenny- the videographer

Tuan Anh and Christopher- for the continuous support

can't quite reveal the contents of it

but the filming process went pretty smooth

zhixing and uthi:

the two unexpected jokers

they seem to bring out the worst on each other

but it helped the group to keep their spirits up.

we are all animals

for prop-shopping @ Bugis

had a wild time

Kana and I somehow managed

Day 85:

fire in snow

Behind the scenes:

today was the last day of Chingay 2013 parade

i've always wanted to take the ground shots

of my hall's dancer in the Chingay parade

who knew it was so tiring.

having to follow dancers run five times of 120m

and running back to the start point

and taking photos at the same time

though the costumes were pretty neat

there were plenty of photographers around

mostly guys

including this famous photographer

who took brilliant photos of the BEAST concert in singapore

(pardon me for not remembering names)

i mean, look at the amount of lenses/equipment he has on his belt

it was there and then

i know that long hours of event photography 

is not suited for me

all my whining aside,

the Chingay parade was spectacular

one of my favourite shot of the day

earlier in the day

i had alumni of NUSPS meet-up session/

chinese new year celebration

and patrick brought his awesome film camera

can't wait for the developed photos!!

since it was chinese new celebrations

Day 76:

cookies and milk

sorry for not updating

been super busy with school stuff

but i did take a shot everyday

so here I am repaying my debt bit by bit.

13th feb!

the day before valentine's

it all started with Dhwani wanting to bake 

cookies for her friends

followed by me wanting to bake

and Gowri providing the red oven

the first on the menu:

chewy chocolate chip cookies

the recipe demanded melted butter

which made the cookie batter

gooey

when baked it was flat but chewy

pretty intresting

chocolate chips

and we decided to make

something else

a remake of 'chocolate pretzels'

(well because they were out of square pretzels

and there were too many gummies)

sweet-salty choc ritz

Gowri's backyard was very cosy

and i thought it'd be perfect 

to have a tea party.

turned out really well!

Day 75:

went over to my gram's place

and all my nieces were there

to play firecrackers and sparklers

the eldest one kept saying 

"powp powp! cover your ears!"

my cousins lit up a floating lantern 

for best wishes in the snake year 2013

the model of the day is basically my first niece.

she's afraid of me ever since she could talk

i wonder why.

but!

i managed to make progress with her today

instead of running away crying

she just cowered behind her mom's skirts

Day 74:

beatles tribute

my mom rushed the entire family

out of the house

at the break of dawn

to jog 

the place had this scenic background 

and a zebra crossing.

i have always wanted to do 

a Beatles' iconic photoshoot.

i cajoled (well, nagged)

at my three sisters 

to run to the middle of the road

to do the whole shabang.

it was practically a day of exercise.
