Day 161:

Behind the scenes:

went out with Hwee Woon and Kana 

for cafe-hopping at Tanjong Pagar!!

first stop:

Two Blur Guys

a neat burger joint

we shared two burgers

1) Smoked Salmon Avocado Burger

the milky taste of avocado just goes well with the smoked salmon

2) Portobello Mushroom Burger

i was surprised that i actually enjoyed it

it tasted like omelet especially with the margarine on the bread 

their store is pretty homey with brick walls

and their desserts placed on wooden blocks

making the feel of the food rather organic

Second pit stop:

Cake Spade

we had their signature toufu cheesecake

and their super delicious

double chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream

super cute cake shop!

the last stop was

Department of Caffeine

both Kana and i had Elderflower Lemonade 

while Hwee Woon had

some coffee (i'm personally not a fan of coffee) and Lavender Tea Cake

it was an awesome break

and cafe-hopping experience!

Day 159:

cupcake outing

Behind the scenes:

today's the day Kana finished her exams

and she has never tried Plain Vanilla Bakery, Singapore

we bought a dozen each

and went to Singapore Botanic Gardens 

for a long-awaited photo-shoot

I have always wanted to take photo of her awesome backpack

we walked the entire Botanical Gardens 

eating the cupcakes and shooting at the same time

we then had a pit-stop at Starbucks

for the air-con

Day 158:

ikea ice-cream

Behind the scenes:

i met up with my dear friend Khairiah 

who brought smiles and love for my entire three polytechnic years

she's still as sweet as ever <3

we met at Ikea (Tampiness)

I just love the rustic smell of the place

And their awesome interior designs and furniture

personally, i find the brown chair most appealing 

their bedroom designs are just to die for 

i had a hard time

trying not to squeal at 

their fluffy toys and cushions

whenever, i'm at Ikea

I will always, ALWAYS

buy Daim.

it has been a long time since i've been to Ikea,

they changed the original one to nugget-sized.

the taste is still mind-blowing 

OH!

their ice cream is only for 50 cents

a little bitter and plain for my taste

it's a sunday

and i have to spend in the library to study

to reward and make myself happy

i had a koi and caramel pudding!

it's one of the best pudding i've ever tasted.

they have pretty looking cakes

but i don't quite like them

Day 103:

Late night with BnJ's

Behind the scenes:

had a field trip with my class today

to place called "Bollywood Vegies"

it's a pretty cool place

it was totally different from Singapore's

usual buildings landscape

like i stepped into a tame Jurassic Park

the guide for the day: Tony

gave interesting insights on the history of agriculture

after the hot tour

we were given drinks

Figs Tea

and some delicious cakes

including freshly-baked banana cake

the place is so homey

and i love one of the many quotes they put up
